Fifty-two degrees in February? That’s what last weekend in Boston felt like while I was out playing tourist with my good friend Laura. Although, it is a slightly concerning to me that we have experienced such high temps this winter, I definitely can’t complain. Ever since that little groundhog didn’t see his shadow, I’ve been dreaming of that first day when you walk outside in a skirt and flats, sans tights. That’s the day that you tell yourself you’ll go sit outside for lunch instead of eating at your desk. And the day that you’ll take the long way home to soak in the new season. Am I getting too weird for you yet? In layman’s terms, I’m pretty excited for spring to get here. Of course I’m probably jinxing the whole Northeast by typing those words, but a girl’s gotta dream.
Laura and I explored the Seaport area on our mini excursion. It’s an area of Boston that I don’t frequent very often, so it was fun to just meander around and get a little more familiar with the neighborhood. I’ve lived in Boston for three and a half years and I love that I can still explore the city like a tourist. Endless restaurants, hidden gems like the Public Library’s courtyard, and tons of sights to see. But my favorite? Wait for it…shopping.
One of my favorite perks of being a local Boston blogger is the shopping parties. Whenever a new store is opening or an unfamiliar boutique is hosting an influencer soirée, I jump at the chance to check it out.Last Thursday I got to do just that at the grand opening of Aritzia at the Prudential center. The Canadian brand has made waves among minimalistas with effortlessly chic pieces, and has officially graced Boston with its stylish presence.
Upon entering the new storefront last Thursday, it was instantly apparent that each and every aspect of the store was meticulously thought out, right down to the delicious cocktails that were served.
The store itself is gorgeous and oozes a natural appeal with wooden accents, and wide variety of plants sprinkled throughout. In between a catch up chats with my blogger buds and a performance by City of the Sun, I made my rounds to check out all of the sartorial offerings.
Whether you prefer basics or are drawn to trendy pieces, Aritzia has quite a few options that will elevate your closet. I highly recommend this cami and jacket combo. They’re beautifully crafted and transition perfectly into my everyday wardrobe.
But don’t take it from me, you can check Aritzia in all its glory at the Prudential Center! It’s closest to the Boylston St. entrance right next to Sephora. Happy shopping!
