Hi friends, happy Monday! If you’re lucky enough to be able to enjoy the long weekend, please sleep in an extra hour for me! This weekend I did a little bit of room & closet organizing and discovered I have a lot of black, beige and neutrals in my closet at the moment. It kind of made me question my fashion identity for a minute. I’ve always been a huge fan of color, in fact black is probably my least favorite color of them all. So, when I found this bright Urban Outfitters cropped sweater, purchasing it was a no-brainer.
It can be really easy to get stuck in the neutral zone with your winter wardrobe. (Exhibit A: moi) Winter clothing is expensive and purchasing something in a crazy color or print can be impractical. You want something that’ll keep you warm and fit in with the rest of your everyday wardrobe. So what’s a girl to do? Think about colors that you’ll feel comfortable wearing and ones that’ll also transition into early spring. If you buy a bright sweater in a color that you’re obsessed with, you’ll wear it a lot more and the cost per wear will be nice and low. I chose this coral pink sweater because it’ll easily go with denim, neutrals and work as an extra layer over a sun dress for those chilly spring mornings. Yes, I’m already talking about spring-a girl’s gotta dream!
Speaking of dreams, Martin Luther King Jr. was always my favorite historical figure to learn about in elementary school. I’m pretty sure I wrote four or five book reports on him. I’ve always been so moved by his courage and his faith that citizens have ability to create change in our country. Have a great day everyone!
