Over Columbus Day weekend, the boyfriend and I decided to squeeze in one more dinner date on an outdoor patio before the colder temps really took over Boston. It was unseasonably warm for mid-October (no complaints here) so we decided to take a stroll through Back Bay before figuring out where to eat. My bf is not a fan of making plans, so our dinner dates are usually pretty spontaneous. I’m the exact opposite so even though our decision to go out to eat my be spontaneous, I immediately pull up Yelp to make a plan of attack on where we might potentially be eating. Food is very important to me, possibly more important than the bf, so I like to know what my menu options are ahead of time. We made our way down Commonwealth Avenue, one of my favorite streets in Boston, before turning onto Newbury St. to see which restaurant patios were open. We ended up at Scoozi, which I had heard great things about from a few friends. The menu isn’t too extensive, but they have all the typical Italian options, which never disappoint. The ambience was relaxed and casual, the food was great, and the service was pretty quick. Honestly, I was just happy that I was still able to comfortably eat dinner on a patio in October!
I was definitely the most dressed up person at Scoozi, but I love getting dressed up on a regular basis and wanted to cherish one of the last times my legs would see daylight for a longggg time. I picked up this floral cut-out crop top from Primark and paired it with a pleated, flouncy faux leather skirt (ps it’s currently 42% off!). I finished off the look olive suede heels and one of my favorite pairs of statement earrings. Although this outfit is a bit more summery, the jewel tones give it an autumn feel. I know I’ll be recycling this outfit soon with tights and a long sleeved shirt to layer under the crop top.
