Happy Sunday! This weekend I was browsing through all of my September magazines and came across of fun contest in Marie Claire. The contest is sponsored by Yoplait and all you have to do is create a look inspired by one of Yoplait’s yogurt flavors. I decided on Orange Creme! One of my favorite trends for fall 2012 you ask? Oh, that’s an easy one. Peplum! What is peplum you ask? Well it’s that little ruffly thing being added on to everything from skirts to shirts and adds a little volume to the waist area (in a flattering way, of course). Peplum was all over the runways for spring and hasn’t lost its luster yet.
Polka dots are really having a moment this summer. The timeless print is most notably worn by the lovely Minnie Mouse, but it’s been luxuriously upgraded with the recent collaboration of Louis Vuitton and avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama. The collection, which dropped earlier in July, includes ready-to-wear, accessories, watches and leather goods with lots and lots of spots. I haven’t worn anything with polka dots
Last weekend I missed out on what was probably the most epic thing to ever occur in Delaware: Firefly Festival. My finances were a bit less than in order when tickets went on sale months ago, so I had sit this one out. Womp. However, if I had gone to the festival this definitely would’ve been one of my outfits (plus a flower crown, obvi).
