Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is safe and sound after Sandy. My thoughts go out to everyone that experienced difficulties and destruction, especially those in NYC and New Jersey! If you saw this post, you know that I had a chance to head back to Delaware two weekends ago for UD’s homecoming. It was everything I dreamed it would be and more. Sunday afternoon the boyfriend had to watch football instead of hitting the road. So I did what any other fashionista would do, I went shopping! I popped into the local boutique Grassroots in search of a blazer, but found this adorable chevron toggle coat instead!
Coat shopping has never been one of my favorite activities because I consider it investment shopping. I get a little nervous when I know I have to spend a decent amount of money on one item. (I blame Forever 21 for that mentality.) My strategy for buying outerwear is a bit impulsive. Kind of like when you see it, you know you have to have it. If you like a coat that much, you’re going to wear it all the time. The price per wear will be extremely low and therefore, worth your precious moolah. Make’s sense, right? Well, that’s exactly how I felt about this coat. It’s lightweight, but warm enough for chillier nights. Double bonus? It has a hood! Don’t be surprised if you see this toggle guy show up on here more than once! What do you think of my look? What’s your shopping strategy for outerwear?
