Summer is officially in full swing and coincidentally the weather decided to really up the ante this year with temperatures in the triple digits. Talk about a meltdown! This past weekend I attended a couple of grad parties and made the horrible mistake of wearing a polyester shirt and top combo. I highly do not recommend this. It was quite uncomfortable and quickly decided I need to stick to more natural, breathable fabrics for the rest of the season. Which brings me to my latest current obsession: crochet!

Crochet and macrame fabrics are perfect hot and humid days, not too mention they can make anyone look hippie chic! I’ve found that the best way to wear these looks is by wearing one crochet element into your look, otherwise it’s a little overkill. There’s tons of crocheted merchandise out there from your shoes, to your turban or coverup this is a very easy trend to incorporate into your summer wardrobe. You can even get crafty and crochet something yourself with one of the many how-to books out there. Above are my favorite crochet options. What are yours? Have you tried out this trend yet?
