With the Olympics right around the corner, it’s only fitting that my current obsession be something that’s on the sportier side. Exhibit A: the sneaker. These kicks have gotten a serious fashion makeover this season from hidden wedges, to studs and pretty prints. Many of fashion’s and Hollywood’s finest are stepping out in these comfy athletic shoes. Most recently, the running shoe has been getting a lot of attention at some very chic events and runway shows.

Initially, I wasn’t really feeling this trend. The last time I bought a pair of sneakers that weren’t for exercising was probably in 2002. But these sneakers have grown on me, especially with
all the fun choices out now from brands like Nasty Gal, Jeffrey Campbell and Urban Outfitters. You can get as sporty or girly as you want! I’ve rounded up my favorites below. Would you sport these bold sneakers?
