Happy Wednesday! Today I’m rounding up my final post for H&M’s 50 States of Fashion! Today is the last day to enter for your chance to win a $1000 H&M gift card and trip to NYC! Simply upload a photo of you in your best outfit to Instagram with the hashtag #HMShopOnlineDE (or your home state). Some of the looks being submitted have been amazing! Best of luck to everyone that entered! So, I know it’s supposed to hit 90 degrees today, but I’ve been getting so excited for fall fashion and need to dish on one of my favorite trends coming up this season. Just pretend it’s 65 degrees, you’ve got a pumpkin spice latte in your hand and a cozy knit cardigan wrapped around you!
So, by now I’m sure you’ve figured out that camouflage is the trend I’m referring to. Camouflage had a moment last fall and has gained a lot of momentum on the trend roller coaster ever since. I know wearing camo if you’re a.) not in the military or b.) not a Spice Girl can make some people cringe. But, I must admit that the neutral print has gotten a very chic makeover thanks to designers like Michael Kors and Rebecca Minkoff who sent very wearable versions of camo down their runways last February. I like to compare camo to how I would wear leopard print. You can go over the top and let the print be the focus of your outfit or keep it low key with a smaller version of the print to add some interest (like I did with this pleated skirt). What do you guys think of the camo trend? Will you be experimenting with it this fall?
P.S. The Chloe + Isabel fall collection launched last night! It’s called Memoirs de Paris and it is to die for. Definitely take a look!
