Happy Wednesday! I’m excited to report that I’m typing this post from my homeland, Delaware, because I’m leaving for Firefly tonight! (Yes, I’ve been practicing my hula hooping in my living room) I should be packing, but first I wanted to share photos from a recent festival fashion shoot I did Mass Musings and photographer, Monica Justesen. Kayte, founder of Mass Musings, and Heather, the Health & Wellness editor are headed to Electric Forest next week and we thought it’d be fun to get together and frolick in the woods of the Harvard Arboretum like true flower childern in preparation for our festivals.
When dressing for festivals (and life in general) I like to be comfortable in what I’m wearing. When you’re comfortable, you’re confident – and confidence is beautiful! So as you scroll through you’ll see crop tops, breezy fabrics, flower crowns and bare feet were some of the common themes of our looks.
My first look consisted of a rosy kimono, cut-out maxi dress and flower crown. I actually wore this look when I saw Lana Del Rey in Boston a few weeks ago. For my second look, I paired a floral bandeau with high-waisted shorts and tied up turban to, literally, top things off. My last look consisted of a tie-dye fringe tank, denim cut-offs and a flower band for an extra pop of color.
Huge thanks to Mass Musings for allowing me to join in on the photo shoot fun and to Monica Justesen for these beautiful photos!
