Last week as I inevitably moved back in to my parents’ house I was faced with the battle of rummaging through a lot of my old stuff from the past eight years of my life. After some serious reorganizing, I was able to get to my closet without any obstacles. As I was pulling things off the hangers to add to my sky high Goodwill donation pile, I found my high school graduation dress tucked all the way in the back. It’s a green and white Hawaiian print and after discovering it, I realized that Hawaiian prints were all over the place on the Spring 2012 runways and voila, here we are at my latest post!
My 4-year-old grad dress is a perfect example that fashion and its trends really do come full circle. (And as my mother would say, “That’s why you should never get rid of your clothes!”) The floral Hawaiian print is making major waves right now and it’s the perfect way to add a little punch to your summer wardrobe. I found tons of awesome tropical-inspired items online at stores like ASOS, ModCloth, Forever21 and H&M. It was hard narrowing them down, but here are my favorites below! I also threw in a few straw pieces because who doesn’t love straw accessories for summer?
Aloha!
