Happy Monday! So, in case any of you are wondering, I officially dubbed April/May as scarf season. Why? Because the mornings are still just a little too chilly for a sundress and nothing else yet. I know, my patience is practically run out the window with Mother Nature, too. However, springtime layering doesn’t have to weigh you down like it does in the winter/fall. (Lighter fabrics = lighter you) Scarves can really be a game changer when the temps fluctuate throughout the day. I usually run out the door to work wearing one almost every morning!
I received this scarf courtesy of Brianne Faye, a Detroit based accessory designer, and absolutely love it! The color is a perfect mint blue/green and it’s a rather large scarf so I can even wear it around my shoulders on chilly nights. If you’re in the market for a new spring scarf or two look for ones with breezy, woven fabrics like cotton and polyester, silk or even a mixed media type like this camo and lace one from Nordstrom. I’m a huge fan of the oversized scarves for their versatility and the small skinnier scarves that can get double use as a headband or turban. What are your thoughts on spring layering? Love it or hate it? Tell me in the comments!
