In the widely popular words of Asher Roth, “I love college.” I graduated from the University of Delaware three years ago (gasp!), but it still feels like yesterday that I was hanging out on the roof of my house with my roommates without a care in the world. So why am I being sentimental and dressed up like a John Belushi today? I’m glad you asked. I’m back at it with Alicia of Alicia Tenise, Corbin of Classy South Blog and Tilden of To Be Bright for our second round of Style Scenario! For the next three Tuesdays, we’ll be dishing up outfit inspo for a variety of fall scenarios. (If you’d like to get ahead of the game with some winter outfit inspo, here’s a round-up of last year’s series.) To kick things off, (pun intended) our first scenario is tailgate!
I may or may not have been the only student at UD to never attend a football game, but I certainly attended all the tailgates! Several of my friends’ families would always set up shop in the parking lot outside of the stadium, so I typically frequented their buffets of potato chips, burgers, and ranch dip in between corn hole tournaments and socializing. Tailgates were definitely the days that everyone dug up their blue and gold UD gear, threw on some cool sunnies and other miscellaneous accessories, like Mardi Gras beads (keep scrolling for the proof). I was all about the comfort level when it came to my tailgate outfit, and I still am today! This “college” sweatshirt was actually my senior year Homecoming shirt that my sorority had made alongside the frat we paired up with for the big weekend. It is by far one of my favorite sweatshirts, mainly because I just love Animal House. Plus, it perfectly complements my blue and gold Tervis tumbler, which has become my favorite iced coffee container as of late. Tervis has a bunch of awesome Delaware drinkware to choose from and this double insulated tumbler is perfect for hot and cold beverages. I highly recommend Tervis if you’re looking to up your game day drinkware; they even have wine goblets!
What do you think my tailgate outfit? Be sure hop over to check out my blogger pals’ outfits in today’s round-up to get inspired for your next game day!
