Well peeps, we’re in the thick of it. It’s summer in the city and this child is HOT. This past weekend I spent about 90% of my time outside exploring Boston with Jackie and Tracy who came up from NYC to visit me for the weekend. If you follow me on Snapchat (let’s be buds: styletab) then you know we bopped all around town from Back Bay to the North End. It was a ton of fun playing host and tourist, but man, the weather was just exhausting. More to come on our adventures later next week, but right now I gotta tell you about one of my favorite things in my closet right now: silk shorts. I know I was just raving about wearing pants in the summer, but if that’s not your jam I bet you 12 pink freeze pops that you’ll like the silk shorts alternative. I actually picked up these metallic ones late late summer, and they transitioned perfectly into fall. They’re comfortable, chic and the gold tone goes with just about anything.
I recently went on a little outing to Lawn on D with coworkers on a Summer Friday, and wanted to wear something that was both lightweight for a day spent outside, but still office appropriate. Instead of the typical solid or stripe top, I opted for the Hawaiian print (that I got from the men’s section of H&M last year) for fun, relaxed feel. My office headed out to the Lawn for an afternoon hang out filled with corn hole and food truck lunches. If you’re a Boston resident, Lawn on D is the place to be on a Saturday afternoon.
