Mad for Plaid Pants

Happy Friday y’all! Yep, I’ve been listening to the country playlist on Spotify. So much to my dismay, it’s continued to be a snowy situation here in Boston. Since I’ve been catapulted into full-on hibernation mode, I’ve been doing some nerdy things in my free time like cleaning up my computer and transferring files onto my external hard drive. I’m basically the coolest kid on my block. Anyways, during this fun process I found outfit photos that I completely forgot about. I didn’t know that was possible, but here we are! I can’t believe I never shared this look (from November!) because I was so amped about these wide-leg plaid pants. I got them for 75% off at Free People and snagged my favorite hat at the same time. Not only do I love these pants because of the deal I got, but also because of their (soon-to-be trendy) silhouette.The Spring 2015 runways saw a tremendous shift towards 70s flares. From high-waisted trousers at Derek Lam to gingham and paisley prints at Diane von Furstenberg and Rebecca Taylor, I think it’s safe to assume that we’ll all be taking tips from Farrah Fawcett soon. I personally love the 70s, so I’m particularly excited to see how other contemporary designers and brands will reinvent iconic 70s styles in the coming seasons. Just imagine the crazy print possibilities! Will you be giving the 70s trend a try this Spring?
