Nothing says spring quite like a midi skirt, bare legs and no sign of tights for miles. The other weekend the boyfriend and I made a quick getaway to Hingham, his hometown, for a change of scenery. Although it wasn’t the warmest, I couldn’t resist throwing on crop top, sans jacket, and soaking up some sunshine. I’ve been wearing a lot of normcore/basics lately, so I was ready to switch it up with a more classic, feminine look. I love the Parisian vibe of stripes, and decided to up the ante by doubling up on the linear print.I actually received these flats from an old coworker who was getting rid of them, and they’ve become quite a staple in my closet. (Thanks Jane!) Don’t you love things like that? I’ve always been a fan of picking up finds at yard sales and Goodwill or acquiring them from a friend or family member. I’m much more interested in the story behind the item or how I ended up with it, rather than the name on the label. That’s one of the reasons why I didn’t shop the Lilly for Target collection this weekend. The other reason is because I like to sleep and I’m not a crazy sorority girl anymore.Do you have any interesting stories about how certain items made it into your closet? Tell me in the comments!P.S. It’s Marathon Monday!! Best of luck to everyone running today! #BostonStrong
